Ride Report

California. A huge state and where do you pick to go? I opted for the coastal road through northern California rather than inland. One reason was to see the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and the other was to actually reach the Pacific Ocean. 

My riding partner for California was Scott "Nevada Dust Devil" Sibbald from Reno who came with me as far as Ukiah then headed home. He had a digital camera mounted on his bike and a few of the photos below are taken from that. Scott led the way from Reno, over the border and a stunning ride up the shore of the sparkling Lake Tahoe.

I Ukiah, where Scott peeled off back to Nevada, I met Blane Howell, my riding companion for the next 4 days. Blane rode down from Salem, Oregon, and he thinks nothing of saddling up his BMW 1150R and riding down to San Diego to see his grandkids.
