Ride Report

Hawaii was 2 days of blistering heat and busy freeways, but it was wonderful. I rode around the island of Oahu.. twice. It's not that big. And then I discovered the 3 highways that cross the island via road tunnels - the Likelike Hwy, the Pali Hwy and the H3 freeway. Criss-crossed several times simply to go through the tunnels. Got caught in a deluge while riding out on the Farrington Hwy on the south shore. Staying in a 8 bunk dorm at a backpackers in Waikiki. I raised the average age by 30 years. Not my sort of thing but cheap and next door to the bike rental place. Riding a BMW 1150R which is good stuff on the freeways. Looking forward to the coolness of Alaska.
