Mississippi is.. a hard state to spell. If you've read the Florida page you'll know that I've embarked on a flight of safety from the impending Hurricane Ike. I want to put a day between Mike & Ike. That means a 1,000 km sprint from Florida through Mississippi and Louisiana to Texas. Originally I was looking at some rural backroad riding through Mississippi to see some of the classic 'backwater' stereotype scenes we think of when talking about this state. But it's not to be and Mississippi was seen over the handlebars from either the inter-state or a major highway.

That's why the photos are a bit average - I've resorted to taking pictures of bugs on my windscreen and meat loaf. Sorry about that but if you want any more info on Mississippi stop reading now. This won't give it to you!
