South Carolina is one of those few states I am just nicking the corner of, buying the fridge magnet and moving through. Unfortunately SC was at the end of a 2-day riding combo of forests, twisty roads, moisture, 45 mph speed limits and no fuel. In other words I am over greenery for now. Come back Iowa, all is forgiven. So when I rode across the SC state line I expected the landscape to immediately change. It didn't. I was in a dark mood pitching the tent that night.. my bones ached from leaning all day and my wrists were screaming in agony from excessive clutch & throttle use.
